Step 3: Add Sourdough Discard
Mix in the sourdough discard.
Sugar
Continue beating until smooth and fully incorporated.
The mixture may appear slightly fluffy and creamy.
Step 4: Add Flour
Gradually add the flour.
Mix until a soft dough forms.
Avoid overmixing.
The dough should be smooth and easy to handle.
Step 5: Chill the Dough
Cover the bowl.
Refrigerate for:
- 30 minutes
Chilling makes the dough easier to shape and helps prevent excessive spreading.
Step 6: Shape the Cookies
Remove the dough from the refrigerator.
Roll into small balls about:
- 1 tablespoon each
Place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Leave approximately:
- 2 inches between cookies
